There are various special laboratories which provide in depth investigative procedures such as :-

	Bacteriology : - Culture and sensitivity tests for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria; Culture and sensitivity tests for mycobacteria;Tzanck’s test, gram stain, AFB stain, etc.
	Electron Microscopy : - Ultrasection analysis for skin lesions.
	Dermatopathology :- Histopathology and histochemistry studies, preparing sections for routine and special stainings; immuno histochemistry studies by using peroxidase and alkaline phosphatase technique.
	Immunology : - RPR/TPHA testing for syphilis; autoantibodies testing for various autoimmune collagen diseases & bullous disease; direct and indirect IF tests; PCR for detecting specific DNA in tissue; DNCB sensitization test and therapy; and tissue culture for the HEP-2 cells.
	Clinical Microscopy : - Hematologic examination; urine analysis; parasitologic examination; porphyrin patterns; Sezary cell count.
	Mycology  Smear and culture for dermatophytes, yeasts, subcutaneous and deep mycoses; - Culture stocks of rare species; sensitivity study of dermatophytes to various antifungicides.
	Photobiology : - Phototest and photopatch test performing; facilities for phototherapy and photochemotherapy with the high standard equipments.
